The Ethiopian regime led by Abiy Ahmed has blocked a Chinese delegation led by Deputy Governor of Shanxi province of China from travelling to Tigrai state. The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ethiopian embassy in China were fully involved with the Tigrai government until the final stages of the planned travel by the Chinese delegation to Tigrai. The Tigrai state government has finished all the last minute preparations to receive the Chinese delegation and government dignitaries were getting ready to go to Alula Aba Nega international airport to wait for the Chinese delegation when they news came from Addis Ababa informing them the delegation was blocked by Abiy Ahmed from traveling to Tigrai.
According to Dr. Abraham Tekeste Deputy President of Tigrai, the Chinese delegation were already on board the airplane when Ethiopian soldiers and security personnel forced the plane to stop and told the delegation they are not allowed to travel to Tigrai then ordered them to off the plane.
The Chinese delegation arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday and they were expected to arrive in Mekelle city the capital of Tigrai yesterday evening. The Chinese delegation was planning to discuss bilateral relationship issues including education, business, trade and commerce between Shanxi and Tigrai.
Dr. Abraham Tekeste Deputy President of Tigrai flew to Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethipia to finally meet the Chinese delegation and both sides signed all the planned agreements. In the past two years presidents, prime ministers, leaders, and ambassadors of over fifty countries have visited and signed some sort of agreement with Tigrai. Some of those leaders didn't even stop in Addis Ababa to talk to the federal leaders of Ethipia.
Abiy Ahmed’s actions should be seen as a declaration of war against the people and government of Tigrai. Every Tigrawai should rise up and get ready whatever it takes to protect Tigrai and its people. The Tigrai government could not hide the naked truth from its people anymore and it should tell the people of Tigrai what Abiy Ahmed Ali and his masters are planning against Tigrai. The Tigrai
government should openly call the youth of Tigrai to mobilize to go to “Meda” for military training to defend the people of Tigrai and the nation of Tigrai.
