The current situation in Ethiopia is very worrying to say the least. USA, Egypt and Saudi Arabia have brought to power Colonel Abiye Ahmed Ali and Lemma Mergessa. EPRDF is being attacked by all forces from the opposition including the former members and supporters of The Military Regime, whose head Colonel Mengistu Haile Mariam, "The Butcher of Addis" resides in Zimbabwe as a refugee.
Colonel Abiye Ahmed Ali, a Muslim turned christian was greeted by the Ethiopian people, even by TPLF. Specially the Diaspora Community in USA and Europe was very enthusiastic. TPLF-EPRDF followed a policy that strictly alienated the opposition in the Diaspora. Ethiopia under TPLF-EPRDF was more or less a police state, which has benefited Ethiopia itself from attacks of Muslim extremists and has helped Ethiopia develop it's economy and institutions similar to China or Stalin's Russia in a relatively short span of time. Colonel Abiye Ahmed Ali overthrew TPLF-EPRDF and took control of the state power through a soft coup. It is not clear why the colonel tried to alienate TPLF. TPLF played a crucial role in laying the ground work for the current economic and political policies. TPLF was well disciplined and dedicated itself to developing the backward economy in Ethiopia. To our surprise, TPLF succeeded like Stalin and Mao Tsetung to lay the industrial foundation for backward and agrarian society as is Ethiopia. Colonel Abiye Ahmed was brought to power by the Qero and Fano movements, who burned public properties, factories and killed people, crimes Colonel Abiye Ahmed has openly admitted to. The election of the EPRDF central committee was simply a pretext or a cover. Colonel Abiye Ahmed was prepared by CIA to take over power in Ethiopia as TPLF-EPRDF was not ready to leave cooperating with China, which saw as a threatening new super power in Africa. Lemma Mergessa was his assiasstance. So were Gedu Andargatchew and Demeke Makonnen. This was co-ordinated by Shaebians( Eritreans who support Isayas Aferworki, sefl-appointed president of Eritrea).
Colonel Abiye Ahmed made amnesty to all prisoners and allowed all political groups to participate freely. This was meant to get support from the naive population of Ethiopia. In retrospect, Colonel Ahmed has promised Egypt that he would not harm Egypt by stopping the flow of the Nile River, which previous administrations have also promised to do, which actually is not possible to stop flowing the Nile to riparian countries including Egypt. We would like to reiterate that Egypt should work with Ethiopia if it wants to use the waters of the Nile and not force Ethiopia to stop projects to harness the River Nile as it is immoral and uneconomical to see the Nile waste it's waters. Ethiopia does not need all the waters of the Nile for itself as it has other rivers which it can use for irrigation. Egypt cannot force Ethiopia not to use the Nile Waters for this means war on Ethiopia which we are ready for.

Bereket Simon was a chair person of Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM) and has been a guerrilla revolutionary fighter in the valleys and mountains of North Ethiopia. He was a close friend and comrade of the late Meles Zenawi. Bereket Simon is unceremoniously expelled from ANDM.

It is not "መደመር" that made the people of Ethiopia to give Abiye Ahmed some following.It was the freedom to express themselves that made Abiye Ahmed the new "messiah". This was orchestrated by his supporters specially a woman calling herself a prophet by the name Birtukan and happens to reside in USA. "Prophet" Birtukan is not a prophet at all. She is cheating the christian community by abusing the Holy Bible and the US should arrest this woman for cheating the Ethiopian Christians residing in USA and also the Ethiopian public.

Mr. Abiy Ahmed Ali was given a large sum of money and was presented with a prize of golden chain by Qatar. Abiye Ahmed ordered to stop paying salaries to Ethiopian workers at the Nile Dam. Abiye Ahmed accuses METEC (Metal and Engineering Corporation) , which administered by TPLF military personeel as they have a dream to industrialize Ethiopia and have built METEC to an international competetive company). Mr. Ali Ahmed is accusing General Kinfe Dagnew of corruption in public in stead of supporting them in controlling the corruption or the difficulties METEC was going through. An honest leader would stand with those in trouble. But a traitor leader working for another country would use the problems in METEC to weaken and disband METEC. That is what exactly Abiy Ahmed did promising the president of Egypt that he would force Ethiopia personally not to harm Egypt ("ወላሂ አልጎዳችሁም" ). Mr. Abiy Ahmed Ali thus made the Grand Renaissance Dam be stopped after he illegally took office by attacking METEC, ordering or agreeing to the assassination of Engineer Semgnew Bekele, stopping paying salaries to the workers at the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and spreading false information about the state of the dam.
The West and some Arab countries are forcing Ethiopia to accept a peace deal which favours Eritrea. US Government is entirely wrong in picking Abiye Ahmed to lead Ethiopia. Ethiopia cannot accept Eritrea as a partner in development. Ethiopia has good relationship with Somali Land and Ethiopian Somali Regional State. Ethiopia should not see Issayas Afeworki in it's soil. Abiye Ahmed has accepted the Algiers's Agreement and is working for the interests of Eritrea at the cost of Ethiopia. What Eritreans need to do is to ally with Tigray. The current policy followed by Abiye Ahmed is based on anti-Tigray sentiment of Issayas Afeworki and his henchmen. Tigray does not stand against economic and political development of the Eritrean people, but cannot co-operate with Issayas Afeworki and his henchmen. Issay Afeworki is a war criminal and should be brought to justice. Tigray cannot afford to see Eritreans fighting against Tigreans for both of them Tigrayans. TPLF and Tigray people will have to march to Eritrea and control the government by overthrowing Issayas and his henchmen.
The arrest of the President of Somali Regional State is another point which Abiye Ahmed should not have done. Abiye Ahmed is a pathological liar and has been accusing President Abdi Mahmoud Omar (Father Abdi Iley or አቦ አብዲ ኢለ ) as a criminal. Mr. Abdi Mahmoud Omar has no reason to burn churches and kill Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, of whom he hold in respect and love. The President of The Soamli Regional State has supported the building of Ethiopian Orthodox churches and helped Ethiopian clergy residing in Jijiga and elsewhere in Somali Regional State. This is done by Mr. Abiye Ahmed's men, who were purposely sent to Jijiga City to burn churches and kill Ethiopian Orthodox Christians.
The US Government should rethink it's strategy in Ethiopia. Ethiopia would like to work with China as it is has many cultural and economic benefits for Ethiopia. But Ethiopia has not refused to work with the West. Ethiopia cannot afford to choose between China or The Western Countries as the head office of African Union is based in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa.
The US administration should force Abiye Ahmed to resign and arrest him for crimes against humanity which he has committed in Jijiga. He has organised the burning of Churches in Jijiga as the result of which 3 Ethiopian priests are killed.
